In part 1, this research project investigates the problems experienced by 83 children who returned to school after spending time in hospital with cancer, various chronic diseases and orthopaedic conditions. In part 2, the resources and services provided by the treating hospitals, the school health services, and the Education Department, in reintegrating children to school are investigated.
