This book discusses the nature and operation of eurocurrency deposits and placements and the applicability of the common law rules governing the banker-customer relationship for eurocurrency deposit operations. It sets out to show that the common law rules on the operation of bank deposits cannot resolve various grey areas of law which arise in the operation of eurocurrency deposits. It argues in favour of an international legal regime to govern the wholesale deposit and placement of foreign currency.
