The field of conflict studies has grown exponentially in the last few decades. Given the further elaborations of theory in dispute and conflict resolution to include deliberative democracy restorative justice transitional justice mediation and negotiation in complex multi-party settings - including international settings - the time seems right to collect some of the expanded knowledge about the theory behind these processes and reflections and studies of their application in a variety of settings.This series consists of a 3 volume set of the latest (and some of the older classic) articles exploring both the theory and practice of these multi-disciplinary processes including negotiation (dyadic and multi-party) mediation (now employed in a wide range of settings) consensus building or collaborative policy processes deliberative democracy and transitional and restorative justice.
