During the first half of the nineteenth century, Saint-Simonianism was one of the most influent utopian movements in France. From 1825 to 1835 approximately, hundreds of engineers, physicians, lawyers, joined the movement. The book will focus on the Saint-Simonian approach to territories, cities and architecture. It will also propose a re-examination of the relations between space and utopia in the nineteenth century.
