The 21st International Conference of the International Association of Agricultural Economics (Tokyo, 1991) was organized around the general theme Sustainable Agricultural Development: The Role of International Cooperation. The topic was divided into seven sections each containing plenary and invited papers (some 40 contributions in all). They are reproduced, with discussion and summaries, in the Proceedings Volume.
