Derived from the fourth John Foxe Colloquium the dual theme of which was Foxe in his locality and Foxe overseas John Foxe at Home and Abroad attracts a distinguished and international selection of scholars. Contributions range across a broad spectrum of Reformation subjects tracing Foxe's influence.From the implementation of reforms in his home county of Lincolnshire and the spread of an anti-Catholic tradition throughout sixteenth century England to the influence of Foxe in a wider European and North American context John Foxe at Home and Abroad explores some of the wider ramifications of the Protestant martyrological tradition which Foxe did so much to shape.
