Legal Polycentricity introduces the discussion on the many forms and centres of law creation to legal theory and jurisprudence. Neither the national state nor supra-national institutions have a monopoly of normative power. The investigation of this process has mainly been delt with in legal sociology and anthropology where changes in non-Western contexts have been significant.
