The London Group 1913-1939 is the first detailed record of the largest society devoted to the development of modern art in Britain. The Group?»s founder members included Walter Bayes, Robert Bevan, Malcolm Drummond, Jacob Epstein, Harold Gilman, Spencer Gore, Duncan Grant, Wyndham Lewis, J.B. Manson, John Nash and Ethel Sands. As the spearhead of modernism in Britain the London Group evoked heated controversy.
